FEATURED IN BRIDES
With a short, three month engagement while living in Los Angeles, Wendy and Steven didn’t have much time to devote to planning their New York wedding. After exchanging vows in the stately Villard Mansions at the New York Palace Hotel, guests were shuttled to The New York Public Library where they were greeted by masses of puddled string lights, creating a sense of vintage glamour. Thoughtful details with a nod to library culture included storybook invitations, bookplate escort cards and table numbers made from the folded pages of books. Quotes from favorite authors graced menu covers and programs. A show stopping, starburst deco dance floor was the focal point around which all other reception décor radiated. Long dinner tables echoed the airy allure of spring with a lush, modern mix of tumbling greenery, massed blooms in shades of lavender and aubergine (the brides favorite colors) and shimmering candlelight. But it was the grooms’ toast that captured all our hearts that night.
