Katie and David knew they wanted an an intimate destination weekend to celebrate with family and friends. After scouring the Hudson Valley countryside and Hampton's vineyards, we took them north to Lenox, MA. They fell in love with Wheatleigh, an elegant 22 acre hilltop estate. We were immediately drawn to the soft pastel palette of champagne and dusty peach with touches of green and grey, which suits every season and easily translated to late September with a touch of gold shimmer. The existing yew tree served as their simple garden ceremony backdrop, softened with ribbon and hanging flower garlands for a charming touch. Clean, elegant shapes mixed with opulent chandeliers, sconces and tailored greenery created a stately look with a decidedly lighter tone. Adding an infusion of sheer billowing drapery and rich textured linens added an extra dose of romance.
