Choosing a venue with meaning was a top priority for Lauren and Evan. The Shelter Rock Jewish Center, the same venue where the bride’s parents exchanged vows 35 years earlier, was their first nod to tradition. In design, a well balanced room starts with great bones. Drawing inspiration from the vaulted, draped ballroom ceiling which gave an illusion of being under a grand tent, we flanked the dance floor with six hand crafted trees, bedecked with Edison bulbs, all brought together in a fresh, uncomplicated way. Bold and whimsical, yet classic and comforting, mismatched elements infused traditional decor with fresh bohemian style to surprise the eye. And WOW, that Klezmer band really rocked the Hora!
